Wage Subsidy Program – Job Seekers

The Wage Subsidy program helps job seekers get the job skills they need through subsidizing employers for on-the-job training costs. When both an employer and job seeker meet the specified criteria for funding, the employee’s wages may be subsidized by up to 50% to help offset the costs associated with training. Please note that the wage subsidy contract must be signed by the employer, job candidate, and WorkBC Service Provider prior to the first day of employment.

Please review the job seeker and employer eligibility criteria below for more information. If you are interested in learning more about our wage subsidy program, please contact us at 604-636-1124 and ask to speak with our Wage Subsidy Specialist.
